Spanish Insurance Specialist
Barbara's background includes 21 years in personal banking with Girobank, including being part of the team who moved to Kent to set up the South-East Regional Office.
After leaving the bank, she worked for a number of years in accounts and customer service for several companies in areas such as cable television, electrical supplies, conservatory manufacturing, regional newspapers and printer suppliers.
More recently she took her experience into the insurance industry, specialising particularly in home and landlord policies. At Fluent Finance Abroad, Barbara arranges the full range of cover our clients need alongside their property purchase: buildings and contents insurance (compulsory in Spain, protecting your own property and neighbouring ones), private healthcare policies at every level of cover — including the specialist medical insurance required when applying for Spanish residency — life and protection policies, and car insurance for driving in Spain. She can also help with pet, commercial, yacht and boat insurance, and policies covering repatriation and funeral expenses.
